Adventure in India camp, aptly called “Room On The Roof” sits atop a hill, comfortably nestled in the forests at Thangadar. Owing to its vantage location it offers a panoramic view of majestic snow capped Himalayas. Get a feeling of being lifted of your feet when clouds of mist pass right through the camp. The salubrious weather makes it an ideal summer destination. Its location is unique in so much that in spite of being not too far from Delhi; it is reasonably isolated and not swarmed by the summer holidaymakers. It is the kick-start point for many treks into the snow-capped Himalayas. The region remains blissfully secluded especially compared to the throngs that mill around the Mall at nearby Mussoorie.

Location: Thangdhar
Thangdhar is 7 km from Chamba and is at an altitude of 1900 mts above sea level. It is a small rural community in the Tehri dist. of Uttaranchal. Its chief attractions being its apple orchards in the higher reaches and the panoramic views of the snow clad Himalayan peak that it offers.

Activities :
With the snow clad peaks ever beckoning the Camp makes for an perfect place for day forays into the surrounding forests. Hiking in the woods take a new meaning here al together. Also these hikes provide an excellent opportunity to study the Himalayan Flora and fauna. The craggy rock faces double up as climbing areas, and for river running the Ganges forms an ideal base.

Facilities
Accommodation: The camp provides comfortable accommodation in Swiss alpine tents. Each tent has 3 cots with comfortable bedding and clean Linen. The tents for boys and girls are in separate areas that are demarcated.
Sanitation: The bathrooms have running water and the toilets are dry pit toilets. The commodes are commodious and as convenient as being at home. For privacy the designated sanitation facilities for boys and girls are in separate enclosures.
Food: We have a full-fledged 24 hrs kitchen that provides you with nutritious hot multi-cuisine meals. The menu is designed keeping in mind the energy that the children expend in all outdoor activities.

How to reach
By Train: The nearest railhead to the camp is Haridwar 95 km away. Haridwar is connected to all parts of the country. The prominent trains from Delhi are Mussoorie Express, Shatabdi Express & Jan Shatabdi. Onward transportation from here can be organised.
By Road: The road connection to our camp from New Delhi takes you through Meerut ­ Muzzafarnagar ­ Roorkee - Haridwar ­ Chamba ­ Thangdhar. The distance from Haridwar is 95 km.
